An Introduction to Biodynamics – Grazing, cropping and horticulture

Biodynamics is a cost effective and personally rewarding method of producing high quality vines and grapes to make exceptional wines.
Applicable for commercial operators and garden enthusiasts.
This two day workshop will include:
- The life of the soil
- Creating fertility in your soil with biodynamics
- Managing your natural resources
- Practical application of the biodynamic preparations
- Using the planting calendar to optimise your production
- Developing risk management: Weeds, Pests, Diseases
- Agriculture and horticulture as contributors to environmental health
Books and biodynamic preparations will be available for sale.
John is a third generation ecological farmer. He has been evolving his practice and knowledge of biodynamics for over 50 years at Paterson in the NSW Hunter Valley. He is a wealth of practical knowledge with a keen eye for the small observations that can make a difference to farming.
Hamish has been working with biodynamics for 40 years and presents biodynamics as a cost effective and enjoyable way to produce high quality food and fibre suitable for human health and well-being; at the same time improving our environment.
The CFA Centre is located right in the heart of Bannockburn township. Bannockburn is approximately 25 minutes drive north-west of Geelong and 70 minutes drive south-west of Melbourne. You can navigate to Bannockburn via the below map.
